Paint with me in the Loire! 29 June - 5 July 2025

Exciting news! I've teamed up with the inspiring team at Académie Le Grippault, in the Loire valley, to offer a week long painting course this summer, from 29 June to 5 July!

Set on a beautiful 19th century estate in the Loire Valley, this 5-day summer workshop will focus on painting en plein air and exploring your own personal painting style.

We will work on the 19th-century estate of Chateau Le Grippault in the Loire Valley, in central France. Le Grippault is located in Richelieu, a historic 17th century town midway between Tours and Poitiers and paint in the immediate vicinity. For painting subjects, think acres of forest, fields of wildflowers, summer greenery, gentle views, the chateau itself, and outdoor still lives to paint from. We may also venture into Richelieu itself to paint the local village market for example, and local parklands,

We'll work on a small scale, focusing on responding directly to what we see before us, making paintings that can stand alone, but could also be used as a basis for larger studio works!

In the evening, you can relax in the natural swimming pool and enjoy the delicious fresh meals provided by the local chef at Le Grippault!
